Browns Bay School is proud to offer a wide range of sporting opportunities to our children. We encourage participation and healthy competition in the sports arena. We are an ASB Olympic School.We are always on the lookout for coaches, managers and help with transport. We would love to hear from anyone who can help out! Or, if you have a passion for another sport and can offer expertise, let us know. We often have experts in to share their knowledge.

Our school takes part in regular weekly competition in

Miniball/basketball all year, Y2-6 (Mrs Coulam); Netball Y1- 6  Winter T2&3, Summer T4 (Mrs Bibbie); Hockey Y4-6 T2&3 (Mrs Smith ); Flippaball all year Y2-6 (Miss Isgrove); Touch T3 & 4 (Miss Isgrove/Mrs MacIver) 

We compete in Cluster Events 

( 1 field day a year )


  •   T1 Swimming        
  •   T2 Football,  Cross-country
  •   T3 Hockey, Basketball, Netball    
  •   T4 Touch, Athletics 

We also compete in North Harbour Field days

  •  T1 Swimming    
  •  T2 & 3 Rugby and Rippa 
  •  T2 Netball    
  •  T4 Gymnastics

We participate in Annual Events:      

  •   Weetbix Tryathlon    
  •   Barbarians Rugby Day 
  •   Shore-to-Shore

  •    Outdoor Education (T1 all levels) 
  •    Waterwise at Waiake on Wednesdays Y5 & Y6 T1 & 4 (Mrs Bibbie & Mrs MacIver) 
  •    Jump Jam Y1-6         
  •   Football Kings and Kelly Sports operate before/after school programmes       
  •    We encourage children and families to take part in Shore-to-Shore    
  •    We collect YUMMY stickers
